INVITATION
South Coast 21 Intergalactics and Class Championship (the "Regatta") is open to South Coast 21 yachts. Austin Yacht Club ("AYC") is the Host and the South Coast 21 Class Association is the Organizing Authority of the Regatta.

SITE
AYC is a private yacht club located on Lake Travis at 5906 Beacon Drive, Austin, TX 78734-1428. Directions and other information relating to AYC are available on its web site located at http://www.austinyachtclub.net. Please note that neither pets nor fireworks are allowed on club property.

RULES
The Regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in the 2005-2008 Racing Rules of Sailing ("RRS") and the South Coast 21 Class Association Rules. The Regatta is classified as a Category C event per International Sailing Federation ("ISAF") Regulation 20. The same suit of sails must be used throughout the Regatta. Substitution of sails during the Regatta may only be made with the written permission of the Commodore of the South Coast 21 Class Association.

RACING
Two classes will consist of a Gold class and a Silver class as determined by each registered participant. The Gold class will compete to determine the 2006 South Coast 21 Class Champion. Both classes will have five (5) scheduled races, and at least two (2) races must be completed for purposes of determining the 2006 South Coast 21 Class Champion. The races will occur in the main basin of Lake Travis, Texas.

ELIGIBILITY
Eligible yachts may enter by completing an entry form provided at Registration for the Regatta and remitting the required Entry Fee (see Entry Fee below). Note: Article X "Rules of Racing" of the South Coast 21 Class Association Rules states: "Eligibility to skipper a South Coast 21 in an officially sponsored or sanctioned event shall be restricted to only bona fide owners of a South Coast 21. This does not restrict an owner to skipper only his own yacht as he may skipper any other properly certificated South Coast 21." Any issues related to Eligibility will be resolved at the sole discretion of the Commodore of the South Coast 21 Class Association.

COURSES
The courses will comprise a windward-leeward design and/or other designs as described in the Sailing Instructions.

SCORING
A yacht's Regatta score will be the total of her race scores. No race score will be excluded from a yacht's Regatta score. This modifies RRS Appendix A2.

Sailing Instructions will be available in the AYC clubhouse by the start of the Competitors' Briefing (see the Regatta Schedule below).
