You can take these courses on your own at home, self-study and then request a written examination to complete certification at AYC.

We also occasionally offer a mentoring study-group on-site which you can attend (107: 5 or six evenings, 117: a couple of evenings) depending on your goals for this skill.  Either will satisfy the pre-requisite for the ASA 108 Offshore Passage Making course.  You may want to consult with AYC’s ASA Head Instructor to help make your selection.
