ASA111 Sailing Refresher

Sailing Skills Refresher

This 3-hour workshop is designed to improve and/or refresh your sailing skills and knowledge.  The ASA 101 certification is a prerequisite.  Student and instructor work together to decide on training goals.  The ASA 111 session may be taken multiple times, over multiple subjects.  They can also serve as an alumni sail.

ASA 111 is not like other ASA certifications and endorsement courses. There is no written examination and no textbook. It is a purely on-the-water clinic targeted to meet the needs of sailors, already ASA-certified, who need or want a “refresher”, or for those who sail regularly but want to focus on a specific area like un/docking or sail trim.

You can sail one of our teaching boats or use your own boat while receiving informal private instructions – no tests.  You pick the topics to be covered.  Perhaps you have ant sailed in a while and need refresher. Or you need more tiller time to get ready for the ASA 111 wheel boat course.  For most people seeking refresher training, that starts with docking and getting underway.

Maybe, you just want to learn more about your boat.

ASA 111 sessions are offered on Fridays year round, or by appointment Mon-Fri.  Contact the Head Instructor if interested.
