Celestial Navigation Study Group

An event every week that begins at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, repeating until December 20, 2022
Study celestial navigation with your self-motivated cohort along with a skilled facilitator / mentor. Students are expected to work the chapters and exercises before each session and the gathering will be used to explore challenges and make corrections and learn key concepts to succeed in the coming week. This is the first (and most difficult) in a three part sequence (celestial navigation, marine weather and coastal navigation) to master skills toward certification in offshore passage making.
Ed Pierce will facilitate a celestial navigation study group following the ASA 107/117 (StarPath.com) curriculum. Participants may choose to enroll in ASA 107 (for certification), or ASA117 (for endorsement) or the “club level” participation (includes book and exercises and mentoring). Group is limited to 8 persons and will be held on six (6) Tuesday evenings in AYC Clubhouse (we will move to Training Shelter One if there are any conflicts for space).
Cost is $180/person ($380 if choosing ASA certification/endorsement) and includes all materials and resources.
