Hap Arnold Perpetual Beacon

This beacon is an old deck prism that was used to give light below decks on old ships before the invention of electricity. It may be taken by any AYC sailor who is  leaving on an extended, long distance, deep-water sail. It is to be carried on their voyage as a token of fair winds and following seas. After the journey, the beacon is to be returned to AYC and housed in the trophy case until the another sailor departs on another adventure.

First carriers: Hap Arnold and Sandy Bauman, 2007.
