Hello, I have the following specific skills: certified scuba diver (PADI Instructor/medic first-aid instructor/dive master/rescue diver/cave diver), ASA 101 basic keelboat instructor, ASA103 cert., I am checked out as AYC Chase Boat driver and have the boating safety course cert., I can also assist members with mast climb needs(I have a repelling system that makes mast climbs very quick and without any assistance from others)

I am interested in learning more about RC (especially how things are run on signal boat), chase boat ops, scoring. Well, end-to-end process really... I am also interested in learning about boat maintenance and repairs.

I have been an active member for 35 years. Past Sail Training Commander, presented and facilitated 1st play yard for children. Presented and started the Children's Christmas Party. Chaired and helped with multiple Woman’s Sailing Camps. Been on B&G too many times to count.
My main interest as far as amenities go is to have the club maintained and bring new changes to upgrade the club with minimal capital expenditures. The pool is a high priority not only for young families but for everyone who wants to escape the heat. There should be significant seating and lounge chairs as well as the decking, tile , plaster should be looked at and possibly replaced.
The club exterior needs to be painted along with all railing and a new lighter color with contrasting railing. I am a designer and am happy to help with this process.
Racing is my other passion and since I have been doing that since I was 11 I am happy to volunteer for camps, sail training
activities. While racing is great, socializing is fun too and as a member of the J80 social committee I would like the opportunity to work with the club social chairs to share some ideas of success.
One social activity that is near and dear to me is family day... which was dropped years back. We picked up those activities a few years back during the Fleet Challenge, Families are very important to the future of this club and the incorporation of fun family weekends.. maybe holidays would be something I would be happy to take the reigns.

Hey there, I would love to volunteer my organizational and administrative skills to the club! I am happiest on the water, but I realize that there are a lot of moving pieces that need arranging to host regattas, race, and parties. I'm ready to work hard and play harder! -Martine

I am fully educated through experience and qualifications to facilitate a youth program - from best practices for PB&J/Summer Camp through all the levels at AYC , and options beyond AYC.

Professionally, I'm an IT Project Manger for cloud solutions for databases and websites including J/Boats, regattas, financial, COVID response, and healthcare devices.

I am a certified SCUBA instructor/diver if any help is needed (PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor #85203). In addition, I am also a rescue diver and a cave diver.
I am an ASA101 instructor
I am qualified to drive chase boats

I would like to get more involved in RC activities, learning how races are organized and managed and scored. I am also interested in harbor activities. I would like to help out at the office as well.

Basically only half time in Austin, I think I’m only missing one service point so anything that could be done more remotely that qualifies for a service point is more interesting to me. Already part of Harbor committee

The docks are in need of repair and I'm willing to help get dock 3 and others back in ship shape.

I've done race committee in the past. Its a nice day on the water.

Also, willing to help fix up the RC boats.

Hi,
I don't mind dirty work or hard work.
Currently I'm doing RC 1-2/month and would like to take an AYC recommended course to be more useful.
I can paint, dig, scrape, cut, carry, load, etc...
Also I have an automotive repair shop.
I'd be willing to fix AYC automotive vehicles and cover parts and labor, within reason. I would feel good donating extra this way.
Thanks for the opportunity.

I'm fairly handy. I have a fair amount of mechanic, wood working / rough carpentry, and general tools if needed.

I'm am particularly BAD at finish work (i.e. fine sanding / painting). You really don't want me doing this kind of work.

I'm comfortable doing electrical work, and have done a lot of it (but I am not an electrician).

I'm happy to help with any sailing events, but I truly have near zero race experience, and am a new sailor. I don't think I have any business being responsible for officiating any competitive event.

I don't mind rolling up my sleeves and getting it done.

Am able to help with Race Committees but often have time constraints to work around on Saturday and Sunday making the dedication of a full day difficult.
